When we got there we were quickly served some chips and salsa. The chips and the salsa were good. Once we ordered our food I was a bit disappointed. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. I had the fajita tacos and the meat felt bland, and not too fresh. Maybe I went on a bad day, but I would think twice before visiting again.
Buena Vida Mexican Cuisine delivers authentic street-style flavor done right. The tacos, nachos, and tortas are perfectly crafted and packed with taste. If you’re in the McAllen area and craving real street tacos on the U.S. side of the Valley, this is the spot. Give it a try and thank me later. And last but definitely not least, the dessert deserves a special mention—far better than I expected and the perfect ending to a great meal.
Buena Vida serves a great variety of sumptuous Mexican fare that is lovingly prepared and served. Speedy, attentive service capped or lunch experience. We had two local favorites: the Buena Vida pack and the Gobernador tacos. Both were excellent.
